Update from Moore Landscaping
Due to poor drainage conditions at The Parke from the many ditches, shallow swales and low areas in lawns that become soft after rainfall and irrigation, the mowing crew tries to avoid these areas but sometimes miscalculate and end up creating ruts and damage to the surface. Moore have always responded by fixing legitimate problems with raking, tamping, rolling and seeding the areas that were damaged.
Another issue to address:
Each summer as the weather turns hot and dryer, many lawns begin to thin out and grassy weeds begin to emerge especially along the edges close to the roads and driveways. This year Moore used a product that did a good job of killing emerged grassy weeds leaving brown spots as a result. These areas should be seeded to establish new desirable grass in place of the dead weeds. A weed known as wiregrass was also affected by the spray. The wiregrass will recover without seeding. However, reseeding is the responsibility of the homeowner and is not included in the lawn maintenance program.
Danny Moore will be happy to meet anyone to go over options or to discuss any issues regarding their responsibilities to The Parke. They can be reached directly at 410-641-2177.
