Duplicate Bridge Announcement
The Parke Duplicate Bridge group is open to any Parke resident, however if you have never played the game of bridge we strongly recommend that you first either read an introductory book or take one of the many free online courses available. Also, bridge is a game played by teams of two (“pairs”), so you would also need to find a partner. If you are interested in playing but don’t have a partner, we will try to help you find one.
We play Tuesday evenings at The Clubhouse beginning at 6:30pm. The game usually concludes around 9:30pm. There is a $1 per player “entry fee” with all money collected to be distributed as prizes at the following week’s game.
If you have prior duplicate experience, please be aware of the following. We are what might best be called a “casual duplicate” game. We use bid boxes and boards with pre-dealt hands, but do not use convention cards. This is not an ACBL sanctioned game, no master points are awarded. Some of our players have learned to play duplicate in our game, and then gone on to play in the more competitive ACBL-sanctioned games that are available in the area.
